The Witcher in Concert was so enjoyable and reminded me of how good The Witcher 3 game and its soundtrack is.

And now I’m even more excited for the Witcher 4.

Happiest of birthdays to my sweet Harley Quinn, who passed away 3 years ago.

Never stopped missing him and will never stop honoring him. Love you, Bubbs. 🐶🐾❤️

As close as we live to the beach, we hardly go. Sad, I know. We definitely take the proximity for granted.

Two days ago, friends from the East Coast visited and wet met them here at Imperial Beach Pier near sunset. Quickly reminded us of how we should enjoy this more.

Little bonsai setup with a Juniper, cushion moss and a kodama figure.

Honestly don’t know what I’m doing with bonsais, but I’m going to try. 😅

Binged the last few chapters of The Poppy War last night.

It was very good. There were a lot of interesting/unconventional ideas. A lot of times an action-packed page turner. A lot of times an uncomfortable read.

I am planning on finishing this series of books.

One of my favorite things I’ve ever found at a thrift store - a cast iron pagoda lantern.

Also on rotation - covers of songs with an electronic/indie-pop twist. Made a four track playlist:

The leaves on this cissus discolor 🤯😍

Every time I see this plant, I can’t believe it’s real. It’s jaw dropping gorgeous.

First time making a terrarium arrangement. I don’t have much variety for terrarium plants, so I used Nerve Plant cuttings, a Lightning Jewel Orchid cutting and cushion moss.

Hoping this all works out and they all stay alive in here. 🤞🏽

This Alocasia Frydek corm took 5 months to sprout a leaf, but the wait was worth it because it showed up with this beautiful variegation. 😍

I’m in the last few chapters of The Poppy War and I can definitely say that I’ve never read more grotesque acts of violence in a war than I have in this book.

So often, I’ve felt sick to my stomach reading these scenes. Very effective writing. I just want this war to end. 😳

An Argentinian restaurant was selling these Dubai Chocolate Alfajores. Don’t think there could be a more perfect cookie for me - I love Dubai chocolate (anything with pistachios) and my favorite cookies are alfajores. 😍

F1 was thrilling. I was so engrossed in this movie and on the edge of my seat. The races were exciting. I wasn’t really into racing but now this movie’s got me interested in the sport.

Definitely a movie that’s better on a big screen because you feel like you’re in the race car and tracks with them

Probably the cutest carnivorous plants ever. Not quite big enough to catch flies just yet, but hopefully we’ll get there soon enough.

Ordered these pinguiculas (Florian and Esseriana) from Etsy shop CuriousPlant.

Plant styling makes this plant hobby so much more fun.

Saw this stone pot at Walter Anderson and immediately knew what kind of plant had to go in it - Euphorbia aeruginosa

I forgot to bring The Poppy War to read while on vacation. 😫

But I did end up finding this book on Tartine, which was long overdue on my part. An old friend of mine from San Francisco is the photographer of this.

Now I’m reading about bread on the terrace of a hotel.
