I wish we had more time to read books about the topics we teach. I think it would engage students more and make it more relatable. I always find time tho to read chasing Lincoln’s killer to the kids.

Now this seems really cool

I became a teacher because I was written off by a guidance counselor in 8th grade saying to my mom that “people like you don’t go to college”. I have dyslexia and adhd. I wanted to work with kids and show them that someone else’s opinion of you doesn’t have to be your reality.
