That tune was always one of my favorites. The original chart was more of a pop ballad but when laying out the second album, I wanted to do something totally different with the arrangement. So I opted for a 1950s Afro Cuban feel. Really appreciate you listening and commenting, Jake.

We have to hold on to the one thing they want to take from us: hope. Because when all I said and done, resistance (or even rebellions) are built on hope. And the way to do it: not by fighting what we hate, but by saving what we love.

You are not alone. As a native (Lakota), all across Indian Country I’m hearing the same thing. And I am telling my people one thing over and over again: time to collectively stand together and say the one thing the OrangeOne hates: “no more.” Thank you for sharing this, @jakesmolowe.
