There's nothing wrong with pointing out I'm wrong when I'm wrong, as long as it's somewhat balanced with telling me I'm right when I'm right. None of us are perfect, but only pointing out ones flaws isn't conducive to the basis of any healthy relationship.

You can only validate someone 4 so long, & then it's up 2 them 2 do the work 4 themselves. None of us were designed 2 b permanent seratonin substitutes. In the end, it's up 2 us 2 fight like hell 4 our sense of self worth & our beautiful, individual identities. Nobody else is going to do it for us.
