it’s exhausting cuz it’s like yo i don’t have the energy to explain the historical, sociological, psychological and scientific context behind why you are mistaken, and why there is only one side that truly benefits the advancement and social cohesion of civilization

these are usually the people who don’t realize that everything is inherently political, and actually tend to think that THEY (e.g. “enlightened” centrists) are the smarter ones for doing so when it’s pointed out to them (lowkey i was guilty of this when i was younger LOL)

These are the people who are just unable to form their own identity without replicating an aspect of something they had seen or were told. Even understanding that about these people, it's almost entirely impossible to reason with them because they're equipped with endless rhetorical "gotchas"
