These are the people who are just unable to form their own identity without replicating an aspect of something they had seen or were told. Even understanding that about these people, it's almost entirely impossible to reason with them because they're equipped with endless rhetorical "gotchas"

people who think you need religion to have morals are so ???. as thinking and feeling beings, humans naturally have visceral emotional reactions to watching good/bad things happen to other people. it simply does not feel good to see others in pain and you don’t need religion to understand that lol
