Loving the new Apple Intelligence Mail “priority” update. And by loving, of course I mean hating.
First thing it confidently prioritised was a scam ATO email. Fab.

Dare I say it… Microsoft Authenticator is working as intended? Does this signal the End Times?

I'm sorry but I don't think I have the emotional resilience for a fourth season of the White Lotus.

I’m updating orientation slides and pondering the best ABCD for ED.
Airway, Bedslip, Coffee has been a favourite for years.

But also quite partial to the below…

TT changed the game when it came to advocacy on social media. That algorithm made it easier than ever to get your message to millions of people, regardless of follower count. Real change in healthcare has happened on several occasions in part because of TikTok. This is a big loss in a lot of ways.

Sending all strength to the ED team at the Royal Oldham

Every ED staff member in the country lives in fear of this happening to us. It is heartbreaking that our fears have been realised and this poor colleague in Oldham has been injured so severely

I’ve just discovered Ranger Station 76 on TikTok and it’s incredible! I don’t understand how it has such little views. Definite @nightvaleradio.bsky.social vibes.

Go check them out!

Sitting outside after finishing a run of shifts, reflecting on my recent resus cases with variable outcomes/some insuccesses. Doom scrolling whilst pondering my slightly wilting agapanthuses, and came across this. Rohin - I greatly appreciated your 5am meditations! Well worth the watch.
Now on YouTube as well. Some early morning meditations on this unusual job I do, which has made for an unusual style of video for me. Talking about René Leriche’s “small cemetery”that doctors carry within themselves, and our “insuccesses” youtu.be/lBnrNCmI3yo?...

I think it could do with a bit more 'malfunctioning' frankly. And not just by women.

My fave icebreaker is 'let's do some brief introductions.'

The #MedEd pitfall of many 'icebreakers' is they are unrelated to what follows, add extraneous cognitive load, and can make people deeply uncomfortable (introverts, neurodiverse, CALD etc) which all works against subsequent learning.
"Write down the most common intrusive thought that keeps you up at night, but don’t include your name. Then choose a table leader to read each thought aloud and take turns guessing the author."

An ode to something heinous.

When someone asks me to state an interesting fact about myself, or “two truths and a lie”, I panic and if you could read my thoughts it would just be “AAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHH”.
