not to be sentimental but I think it’s beautiful that libraries exist and are free and that we can use them. I love that there are so many bookish folk who are always reading and learning. I’m so glad to live in a world where there are books.

I’m only on chapter nine, yet the amount of times I have been surprised far exceeds the amount of pages I’ve read. I get why @johngreensbluesky.bsky.social has made Tuberculosis his nemesis as it’s becoming mine, too.

Lewis and Tolkien had it exactly right: spend time in nature, go for long leisurely walks, read widely and often, gather a small circle of friends who will love and support you, pursue your niche creative projects and make your life a constant adventure of delight and learning.

Donald Trump tried to illegally shut down funding for programs that millions of people rely on.

Community health centers, Head Start programs, and charities are still having trouble accessing funds.

Meanwhile, the taxpayers are paying for Trump's trip to the Super Bowl.

I miss the days when very rich people used their money to fund libraries, public art and philanthropic endeavors rather than launching slow-motion coups against the federal government.
