Okay toning down the sanctimony, this is actually one of those big criticisms I have of Bioshock 1. That moral choice is overtly *not*, because they didn't want the optics of Encouraged Child Murder. You're rewarded for saving them, not just with ADAM but also audio-logs and plasmids.
