Who says she lied? the journalists making up the story? Journalists are rarely the beacons of truth and integrity some once were. I don't recall these people making a fuss when Johnson was proved to be lying, but then he's one of them who was sacked for his lack of integrity, still a journalist

I've just done a rough calculation and fuel duty and VAT is approx double the duty I'll pay for my EV. It's only reasonable that EVs contribute for the fuel duty that they don't pay

Heavy metals, toxic organic compounds, hair and insect parts in pharmaceutical ingredients and completely fake food ingredients. Having said that, some were good, but everything needed checking.

Over my career, which frequently involved testing imported food, consumer goods and materials, cheap products from the far east regularly failed tests, often by a large margin.

After a career in labs, water or saline eye wash is the only thing used if you get something in the eyes because you weren't wearing eye protection. Contact lenses make things worse. You shouldn't need to keep saying this but fools will be fools!
