The Australian Championship.

Moreton Bay Excelsior vs Broadmeadow Magic.

Nominal second tier with premiers from the NPLs and a few “foundation” members.

And now Steve Smith joins him. 100 in 158 balls.

He looks very comfortable out there, chance-less innings and wonderfully paced.

Sensational century for Kurtis Patterson, who’s been in woeful form so far this season in red ball cricket.

A battling 221-ball innings for him to get there too, and a huge roar when he did, with a crunching cover drive off the first delivery with the second new ball.

Steve Smith passes 50, Kurtis Patterson rolling along nicely towards a century in the sun at the Gabba at the tea break on day two.

Good pitch to score runs on against a Queensland attack missing a few weapons.

It’s 100 days to go until Milan-Cortina…

Lovely morning with the moguls team.

The roaring sound of Supercars, chasing trams at Surfers Paradise.

Perfect way to spend a Sunday.

Unreal display from Lara Gillespie to win the elimination race.

Superb performance and composure after all the crash delays.

Awesome entertainment as ever at the Powerchair football.

Australia, New Zealand, Japan and Korea playing in the Asia Pacific Oceania Cup, part of the qualification process for the World Cup.

Great to see the people watching from the futsal tournament so engrossed too.

Queensland openers Matt Renshaw and Usman Khawaja heading out to bat for the first time on day two of the 2025/26 Sheffield Shield season at Allan Border Field.

Tasmania all out for 379 (Jordan Silk 104, Michael Neser 4-75).

This is a very suitable book to be reading tbh - including details on how hurling was being played in Australia before the first All Ireland was played under the GAA in 1887…

A nice morning at the Gaelic Grounds in Willawong for the 2025 Australasian Championships.

Some rare books have that incredible ability to just grab you by the soul and force you to keep reading.

This is one of them.

Obviously I’m a decade or more late to this, but @ricktimes.bsky.social, this is just a stunning story told with heart-rendering honesty and skill.

What a game.

Suncorp was genuinely shaking after that full time siren.

The roar when Dylan Edwards missed that field goal was as loud as I’ve ever heard in a sports stadium.

Remarkable.

Great photo from Michael Matthews on his socials after Australia’s gold medal mixed team time trial relay performance.

So pleased for Bling - it wasn’t that long ago he had a pulmonary embolism that kept him out of the Tour de France and could have had even more serious impacts.

Depressing, alarming and oh so important.

Such a brilliant piece of work.

Kenya vs Ethiopia.

Peres Jepchirchir vs Tigst Assefa.

One of the great one-on-one marathons of all time.

Amazing.

Really liked this book, @andrewbensonf1.bsky.social does so well in capturing what makes each circuit special.

My only minor quibble? It should have been called Remarkable MotorCAR Races.

Otherwise the omission of the Snaefell Mountain Course, Mugello, Assen and Phillip Island is remarkable.

What a finish.

Chapeau to Olav Kooij - Visma did so much work on the front all day so he had to finish it off for them.

But where the hell did Tord Gudmestad come from at the end there? Amazing finish.
