The news has been more than a bit grim of late, so hooray for @carbonbrief.org providing some genuine and really meaningful **good** news: the UK's carbon emissions in 2024 were the lowest since 1872, because demand for fossil fuels just keeps decreasing.

As an expat Brit living in California I must admit I find it quite reassuring listening to debates from the UK around inheritance tax and farming. So nice to hear people discussing actual politics instead of learning about which sex offender is going to run which department of state

Wii U launched 12 years ago today.

While the system may have failed sales-wise, Nintendo put out VERY good software for it.

The fact that many of Wii U's best games are now Switch's best (and most successful) games, speaks volumes.

Spent last weekend at the Olympic Village in Tahoe. I am now so Californian It never even occurred to me to check the weather. Started to snow and I don't have any snow chains for the car, just about got back down the mountain before they closed the highway. There is a lesson in there somewhere...
