And not any GP appointment either. I got an immediate one. Was told there was one now, if I came straight down. I suppose most patients that they normally treat are in bed with flu.

Not to the many people who deserve them they don't. And it is important we don't let that happen.

These days it is mostly about rewarding those that do good for society, and philanthropy, in order to encourage others to do the same. Though it does get abused by politicians who reward the wrong people.
