Finally got to Edinburgh for an SNP event. I’ll be honest, the challenge of Reform, particularly in my area, had me in a fog. In all honestly, I felt defeated.

Our FM has pulled me out of that. I’m raring and ready to go. I will not play Nigel Farage’s game, the SNP are on Scotlands side!

From speech and language cuts to minor injury unit overnight closures, and now library services being given the chop. Council issues are the majority of my casework and complaints. Yet, only 27% turnout for the recent by-elections. We must do better at educating and enthusing public participation.

When I see this I can’t fathom why it’s not happening already. I do hope it happens for the sake of care leavers.

Thankfully it’s already happening in Scotland.

Free prescriptions for everyone. Free bus travel for under 22’s, disabled and over 60’s.
Exc: Care leavers could get free prescriptions and bus fares under plans being considered by ministers, PolHome understands

Angela Rayner & Bright Phillipson are also looking at waiving passport fees and uplifting universal credit to boost support for this group

Giving this whole political social media account thing another go on a new platform. Threw in the towel on Xitter due to the abhorrent hate speech & abuse that invaded my news feed. Here’s to new beginnings 🙌🏻
