Watching The Lodger and there have already been 3 or 4 shots I've never seen in anything else, like this double exposure shot showing the pacing footsteps characters hear as they look up at their celling. I love seeing silent filmmakers figure out different ways to communicate things

I've been using the NIH's Library of Medicine every week since I started grad school. It has a wealth of free knowledge for anyone researching anything at all to do with health. Tonight it's crawling under heavy traffic, and that scares me

One of the fun things about getting back into Lego is discovering the playful uses designers find for specialized pieces (As I kid I thought they’d invented too many special pieces!). The sink faucet in this kitchenette is a silver version of the flintlock pistol seen long ago in Pirate Legos
