Leo must be all but in shock. Not only did he beat another Gym leader, he did it on the first attempt! With significant casualties, granted, but still! Not half bad for diaper-dumping dork, huh?

Lucky put up a good fight, but Ember just wasn’t enough to overcome the level gap and the berry heal. The Roserade outsped, so I tried a desperate Mach Punch, praying for a crit or something. No dice.

Guys, I think Gardenia might be stupid. She’s facing a decently strong Fire type with a mono-Grass team, and so decides to 1) Use a move that makes Fire stronger, 2) Not do anything that benefits from sun, and 3) Burn a turn and a Super Potion healing off damage that I just put right back on.

-Was eager to prove himself during the trek up to and through Eterna Forest. Very much succeeded in doing so.

Anyway, this fight was annoying. Lucky’s only Fire move right now is Ember, which isn’t nearly as strong as Meteor’s Flame Wheel. Then to make matters worse, he kept getting fully paralysed, meaning what should have been a disappointing but easy 3 turn fight turned into an RNG slog.
