I'm up early and out for a walk to get my coffee instead of driving. The city was so quiet and beautiful, just starting to wake up as I got home just now.

Here, have a church lit by the breaking sun reflecting off the sky.

The Minneapolis Armory. These were built across the nation, in major cities, specifically to help put down protests and strikes. Yes they had other purposes, but the ones *in cities* were placed there to keep the masses in check, should it be needed.

Still there, but now it's surrounded by pavement and basically no trees. All around the street view camera is paved streets.

Code Blu coffee on Franklin Ave has some of the best coffee in the cities imo, and their bean prices are really good since they roast it themselves (Ethiopian organic beans medium roast - $15 a pound roasted today). It's too small to br a hanging out kind of cafe, but otoh check out these dinosaurs.

Sadly just another generic brick stripmall-like structure at this address now.

The good Director and I hanging on the hammock. I'm reading Cyberpunk Red and listening to Florence and the Machines on my speaker (nothing beats music in the air) and she is making sure I don't get up to mischief.

These little fuckers think humans should be nocturnal.

Let's call the return to office what it is - layoffs they don't have to pay for. Even if they only leave half of the jobs unfilled that's still a 10% reduction in employees, and most of the ones who leave will be higher earners in the middle of their career.

The IDS Center was only a mile and a half from where I took this picture. The air quality is great today, y'all.
The obscuration is way worse with the naked eye, the camera is doing some kind of fuckery.

It also smells like burning outside.

I feel bad for the folks who just took off from Rochester. That's gotta be one bumpy climb.

That was a lovely D&D session, wrapping up stuff for the end of the game. It wound up being a bit of a montage of scenes just to get through things so we'd be at a good end point.

This is the battlefield at the end of the fight last session.

2077 seems to be shitting the bed again on my computer. Just check out these great graphics! There's obviously some corrupted asset that's just fucking with me because some NPCs do this to my screen, it seems to be a particular piece of cyberware what does it.

Take a look at just how much broader the falls used to be. They've been eroding down into the stream bed pretty aggressively for a while now.
Compare to this photo, you can see how much more the falls have channeled themselves.

No Kings Protest. Had a brief conversation with this gentleman about how we can't have a dictator in this country. They volunteered permission to post.
This was one of four protests I drove by in the western burbs in about ten minutes, but the only one where I was at a stoplight and was safe to talk

You've been kidnapped. The characters from the last TV show you watched are trying to rescue you. Who is coming to save you?

I think I'll be fine, honestly.

Jesus goddamn Christ, Google. I'm not sure how it can be this wrong with the right information also displayed on the page.

At least they're posting signage at bus stops. Signage that requires you have a smart phone or internet to get where the new stop will be, but at least it's not nothing.

I've been doing mini painting again. This is probably healthier than using my lip to get a good point on my brushes but it's also way less effective.

In today's News of the Weird (local edition) I walked outside to see a random potted plant on my front steps. There's no label or anything.
Can anyone help me ID this?
