It rules that Akira Yamaoka's Silent Hill soundtracks were made using sample CDs called shit like DISTORTED REALITY and BIZARRE GUITAR. This dude took a 10-second pad sample off an album called DRUM & BASS INTERFACE and used it to create the most atmospheric, haunting game OST ever recorded.
