Oh I didn't hear the music until just now (phone on sleep mode) - it's gorgeous!

No schtumps for me today - been in a field!

Feet are damp 😆 There's an old tree on the other side of the field with a hedgerow beyond. The sky is grey but at least it's dry and mild.

Anyone interested in a poppy had to apply online. The sale was oversubscribed and Mum considers herself lucky that, MANY months later, her poppy arrived safely.

Meticulously packaged, it was complete with an information leaflet, certificate of authenticity & a little dried mud on the metal stem ❤️
One of the 888,246 poppies from the installation at the Tower Of London in 2014 by Paul Cummins, "Blood Swept Lands and Seas of Red". The installation commemorated the centenary of the start of World War 1. To buy a poppy, you had to apply online and hope. The sale was oversubscribed so Mum considers herself lucky that, MANY months later (the summer after?), her poppy arrived safely. Meticulously packaged, it was complete with an information leaflet, certificate of authenticity and a little dried mud on the metal stem ❤️ This photo shows the inside of the mailing box, leaflet, certificate and the ceramic poppy, resting on its bubble wrap bag.

Lest We Forget
"Blood Swept Lands and Seas of Red" As memorial commemorating the 100th anniversary of the start of World War 1, from 17th July to 11th November 2014, ceramic artist PAUL CUMMINS made, glazed and fired 888,246 ceramic red poppies, each representing one British or Colonial serviceman killed in the war. The poppies were "planted" by volunteers in the moat of the Tower of London to a design by TOM PIPER. The final 888,246th poppy was installed by Her Late Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. The name of the installation was the first line of a poem written by an unknown soldier, in a will discovered by Mr Cummins in 2012. After 11.11.2014, the installation was taken down. Some elements were permanently reinstalled in other displays and thr rest of the poppies were sold to raise money for charity. (Photo taken 16/11/16)

Mum wants to publish this CD cover - "Now that's what I call ORANGE!". #SiggySchnauzer's greatest hits include Dont bark for me, Marg & Tina; Hungry like the wolf; and Yesterday (all my kibble seemed so far away). Siggy is looking up at the camera in a sea of orange leaves (maybe helped a little bit with a filter 😉) #SiggySchnauzer on an uphill path, not looking at the camera. AGAIN. If he were, would he be thinking "I'm looking down on you peasant!"? Pub is shut again, no astrolling (= astro+rolling!) for #SiggySchnauzer who's looking through the bars of the closed gate. Again. Almost a weekly occurrence!

#HousePanther Brennan (black cat) taking his 2nd dose of painkiller for the day as "breakfast in bed" - crafty but it works! He's been in the wars for a couple of months now. First, he lost a LOT of weight with no obvious cause (teeth, kidney, liver, thyroid - all checked) then, just as we got him eating well, he got an infection and was VERY poorly and off his food. Now he's hurt his leg! Vet says it's NOT *caused* by his weight loss (which could be "something sinister" 😞) BUT they could be related eg arthritis... watch this space, work in progress.

Unusual #Caturday post from me! My furbro Brennan 🐈‍⬛ the House Panfur has been v poorly this week 😞

Not eating so 2 days at vets on a drip 😲 but GOOD NEWS! Antibiotics & he's eating & purring now 😀 Me Maw & Paw are almost recovered too (exhausted)!

Heather is the smiley black and white cat sitting on the left of the bed on an olive green throw, near her blue fluffy blanket (note: near but not on, attagirl 😆). Her brother Brennan has been VERY poorly, he has a shaved leg where he was on a drip for 2 days but he's much better now. Been on the pawrents bed since he got home Thurs eve (!) but at least he's moving around now, purring and occasionally miaowing for food 😀 We're building up his strength 💪 🙌

Pals! Love my #ForestFriday walks 'cos it's Mum's day off so no rush - today we just followed my nose! I took her via the pub garden for a roll on the grass, a slow sniffathon through the woods then home via a sneaky footpath 👍 1.2miles took 40 mins = slow 😁
