I love this…someone I know is moving into temporary accommodation today and their landlord said they can come anytime up to 6pm bc after that, they’re going to join a protest in support of immigrants…that’s the kind of supportive attitude Brits used to be known for

With the relentless daily slopshow of populist media, I saw nothing about the UK's 0.9% growth in May vs an expectation of 0.6%, and this on the back of March growth 0.2% vs nil expectation. It's the highest in the G7. Contrast with flatlined economy 2024 under Tories.

I think it's time...I've stayed on Twitter until now vainly trying to swat the right-wing swell but the stench is too much now. I know very many of you have abandoned it long ago so what's the right way...just pack up and leave? delete? how do you protect your name? Thanks for your help

There was a low turnout in Runcorn at last night's by-election. When people choose to not vote, say they're not interested in politics, don't know how to vote, democracy simply doesn't work bc FPTP leaves the door open for groups not widely supported. So is it time to make voting mandatory in UK?

As I picked up my toothbrush I saw a spider in the bath and did note to self to rescue once I'd finished. Almost as soon as I turned on my brush, the spider frantically ran around. I have a sonic toothbrush and wondered if the spider felt the vibrations?🤔Had to stop and effect rescue immediately
