New York was among the 10 worst states in SIECUS' 2024 State Profiles, tied with Wisconsin and Oklahoma. Not much has changed in a year, NY went from a D- to a D 🐌

Happy #AceWeek and #IntersexAwarenessDay 🌈

Even in inclusive spaces, some members of the LGBTQIA+ community may have less visibility or feel they are on the outside looking in.

A win for truth, inclusion, and every young person. 🌈

A federal judge has blocked the Trump Administration’s directive that would have forced states to erase all references to “gender ideology” from sex ed programs.

We miss the full picture when we separate violence in the home from broader conversations on the normalization of violence online, gendered expectations, and power dynamics. Domestic violence takes root in many places.

Sex ed made coming out a loving experience, not a dreadful one 🥰

Knowing I was safe to be myself at home and school, that my identity was understood, that my feelings were valid and it was okay to ask questions—that changed my life🌈

Thinx and @periodmovement.bsky.social's 2025 State of the Period shows that when young people don't get answers about their sexual health in classrooms, they get them from less reliable sources 🤖 AI isn't a substitute for real teachers.
