It’s hard to believe that the Minister of Justice would over-rule the Charter of Rights. First past the post politics becomes more powerful than fundamental human rights. This is not rule of law, it is those who have the power set the rules.

In politics we need to divert emotions away from the frontal cortex. When politics is the topic maybe we should first change the topic to the blue jays , all get excited and angry and then have a good reasonable discussion about politics.

What would Justice Wyant say if he was asked to respond to Danielle Smiths claim that his report proves that she did nothing wrong. He would say that her statement has no basis in fact because he was not allowed to see the facts. Smith is misrepresenting the conclusions of the report

Has Danielle Smith ever apologized for anything? It is healthy for everyone to hear an apology and troublesome if an apology is not given. An apology must acknowledge the wrong that they committed, acknowledge that they should not have done that and they will do their best to not do it again.

The dynamics of how millions of Americans suffered from a mass psychosis and chose such a flawed president will be complex and nuanced and multifaceted.

It is very strange that Justice Wyant has not met with Menzalopous. The process appears to be flawed. The Justice must issue a statement to explain this in order to preserve a perception that the process is balanced and fair.

Nice job on the metaphor. Most Albertans should understand this if they want to. Unfortunately, many do not want to.

Smith’s appreciates that Jasper’s motive was not to be critical of the province. Jasper mayor said their motive was only to state facts but Smith avoids discussing the fact that she interfered with fire fighting by diverting the discussion to motive. Her rhetorical trick is The Fallacy of Motive.

If the UCP had moral character they would root out this nefarious skullduggery. Their silence and denial says it all.
