I get tired of hearing folk complain that they are "asset rich, cash poor." A settlement including some of those assets seems like a good trade-off to me. The country might get more long term benefit from the asset in the V&A than just cash.

It's kind of like still watching the BBC, even though you think the management are twats, and even though you don't really know what ITV's management is up to.
