On a personal leve, if I feel unwelcome, I just leave. I don't vibe with hypocrisy and self-serving behavior making spaces less safe for the most vulnerable among us. I just think it's lame as fuck that the comfort and money of people who don't see me as human takes priority in some people's minds.

I have been extremely disappointed with the number of women, gay, lesbian, and otherwise queer/marginalized streamers in the SM64 community who either tolerate transphobes because they gift subs or disbelieve trans people when they say that someone is being transphobic.

I spend a decent amount of time around queer and questioning youth and the thought that maybe one of them sees me this way keeps me closer to my best self. I feel the need to externalize my joy and unabashedly be myself so I signal to them that it's possible for them, too.

It occurs to me that with all the most talented people leaving the FBI in droves and it being lead by people who care more about ideology than actual investigative chops, this very plain-looking white guy has a very real chance of completely getting away with this.
