I know being mad at your bishop is an ancient and respectable Christian tradition, but the experience filled me with such an incredible disgust.

One of the nails in the coffin for me and the Episcopal church was going to diocesan convention and hearing the bishop tell a “feel good” story about basically stealing a kid from his impoverished parents to live in a TEC orphanage/work house. While he also was claiming to “fight trafficking.”

An extra cute thing about Pez is that he was a monk at Melk—just like Adso from The Name of the Rose.
