There's always a typewriter, or the awesome electronic version: an AlphaSmart. I have a Neo2 that I use every day. If I ever won the lottery, I'd throw money at the right to put AlphaSmart back into production. ♥ Freewrite wants to be AlphaSmart so bad that it calls its closest model the Alpha.

I have a Neo2 that I ADORE. Had an AlphaSmart 3000 back in the day and the keyboard wasn't as good, but I still used the heck out of the thing. I can't recommend AlphaSmart enough for folks looking at Freewrite! I thought my Alphie was dead for a bit and Freewrite actually didn't match up.
