I really appreciate the transparency about AI in this project. It sounds like the creators are being ethical about it, and only using their own training data or public domain data, and that's fantastic to see. This project looks very cool. I'm happy to see that it's getting funded! ♥

I already had no interest in it, but after learning how it scrapes copyrighted real art (and pretty much all other pictures on the internet) without a right to use them, I have an ethical problem with it. Then I learned it overheats data centers so much they're using tons of water to cool them.

FontBase seems pretty nice, especially since it's free. It lagged out while copying my nearly 4500 fonts into the database, but now I can sort them into folders like Title Fonts and maybe have an easier time locating what I need quicker.
