SIBC is the independent locally owned commercial radio station broadcasting from Shetland 24 hours a day with music and news.
This is a Shure SM7 made in USA and bought in 1980 at the early stages of setting up SIBC. The original pop shield is long decayed to be replaced by A7WS, swapped for cleaning monthly. We bought 4 more SM7 made in Mexico as we came on air in 1987. Now every podcast has one, or a new variation.

This is Gerald Frow reading the news on Radio Caroline (South) under the same Gerry Burke. He was once married to Sally Mills. He came to Shetland in the 1990s with his second wife Jean and settled in Lunna. He died here in December 2005.

More what’s going on? (See 4 July). At 5am at the entrance to the north King George’s field (play park) in Lerwick. Kids’ clothes are not cheap.

Some non-existent places in Shetland. Knab Redevelopment. (There is Bellevue redevelopment.) “Old” North Road. (There is also no “New” North Road but there are Holmsgarth Road and Gremista Road). And here is the correct location of Clickhimin with Combination Hospital replaced by GBH.
