I love how each chapter is from a different characters perspective. I thought that would pull me out of the story but actually it’s totally drawn me into it!

I read reviews (though take them lightly - some of my favourite books have had abysmal reviews. Everyone has an opinion). I don’t leave reviews, as a rule, unless I have something positive to say. Conscious that there’s a writer and a lot of hard work on the other side who might actually see it.

I use Goodreads. Added bonus is that you can update your page count thereby making reading strangely goal oriented. For those of us that need everything to be a competition (if only with ourselves)

I liked scrivener (helpful for complex outlines, to organize notes, have many chapters in one place) but ultimately just didn’t use it enough and interface wasn’t as intuitive for me as word/Google docs. Might try it again in future to see if it’s changed since I last used (years ago)

I second this! Added bonus is you are less likely to loose all your work if anything happens to your computer or you forget to save a document
