That's because usually those people have no concept of a joke that doesn't punch down on someone. It's not about saying something funny, it's about laughing at someone else's expense. There's not even a punchline most of the time, just mean or disgusting stuff.

See I dont hate Linux, I hate the lack of effort from most corporations to support it in the general market.
Most of the remaining problems stem from lack of proper driver support (looking at you Nvidia) and major programs like the Adobe suite. The rest is perfectly fine once you get used to it.
