When I first listened to Bad Bunny’s “DtMF,” I wasn’t expecting it to hit me as deeply as it did. The song’s wistful lyrics about wanting to have taken more photos of people and moments, about realizing too late that time moves on faster than we ever expect, stirred something within me. It made me think of Mexico — the place I hadn’t returned to in six years, the place I loved but avoided, the place where I lost my grandmother without saying goodbye.

Public Libraries can be wonderful places where children and adults can find books that they can see themselves reflected in, no matter who they are, and books that can introduce them to entire other lived experiences. Both are so valuable!
