Battery energy density is increasing so battery weight can drop. Also many EVs have thermal management so that the battery is pre-heated before charging begins.

Has an OEM released a fuel cell with the same or better efficiency as a battery?

Combustion engines are 30-40% efficient
Fuel cells are 40-60% efficient
Batteries are 80-90% efficient

I don’t agree with that. What propaganda have you seen?

I just thinks it’s inefficient to convert electricity into Hydrogen to convert into electricity. Industrial scale heat appears to be a valid use case.
