Hi, I'm Alex. I mostly don't make videos, but sometimes I remember that I should make videos, then I make videos with my friend named Jacob (@chatcool.bsky.social).

You can watch them here: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC8NFNGKLwrg5PYrx76L120g
I noticed the difference while watching, but I don't think the video is substantially impacted by the absence of fusion elements, even if they make me take notes when there hahaha~

Your writing and voicework are your biggest strengths (imo). A Sakka essay on a black screen would still slap.

I can't believe I missed both the video in my sub box and this post! Jacob just told me you made a new one and I'm like WHAT?! From my boy--THE Sakkasays? We'll watch it together today!

Hey, this is the first I've seen your art. It popped up randomly while I was scrolling my feed. The landscape is absolutely beautiful. If it were the right aspect ratio, I'd have made it my desktop background on the spot. Thanks for sharing ^^

I'm hoping that if enough people don't buy it, Nintendo will be forced to drop the price.

Kirby, Prime 4, and Mario Kart all look incredible, and I'm sure a new Smash/Zelda are coming too that I'm gonna wanna play, but I can satiate myself with indie games, and if it never goes down.. Oh well.

I often wonder about the stress and difficulty of navigating a situation like this. Do people in power consider the value of "enemy" life when they make these kinds of monumental decisions? Is there an ethical way to be a leader in the modern day, with full knowledge of all atrocities? I'm not sure.

But even if it doesn't come to that, it's not like the Russians conscripted into war deserve to die. Really, the only problematic people in the equation are the ones who insisted a war needed to happen in the first place and refuse to back down, as well as those who relish in conflict and revenge.

Morally, defending people being attacked is the right thing to do, and so the USA provided financial support to Ukraine.

Getting involved is like playing with a bomb though. A war between superpowers could literally end the world.

So--yes. People are getting murdered for effectively no meaningful cause in a conflict like this--both Ukrainians and Russians, and the thought of supporting Ukraine wholeheartedly is.. not an appealing one for powerful places like Europe or here in the USA, because it carries with it risk.

Right now, in a place like Ukraine for example, people are getting massacred for essentially no reason. Money? Land? Putin claims it was because the thought of Ukraine joining NATO posed a threat to him, and perhaps it did, but a *threat*, the idea of causing damage, is not the same as an attack.

I don't believe this is a solution, but I do think it's the only way to delay this sort of catastrophe for as long as possible.

This brings up moral dilemmas though. At what point is it appropriate to fight back in order to protect something important?
April 30, 2025 at 6:46 AM
I firmly believe this will happen, although I don't know when it'll happen.

In the meantime, I would like everyone to think about the well-being of others, to try to resolve conflict peacefully, or better yet, prevent fights from happening in the first place.

Whether it's the desire for "more" or a "just cause" to defend ourselves, or maybe even just an individual's passing curiosity, eventually someone will make and use a tool capable of annihilating the world.

This tool will be used without empathy, ultimately resulting in everyone's death.

Or that we haven't hit the filter yet, and one day something will happen to wipe out all of us, and our progress.

I believe that "filter" is unique from world to world, and I think for humans, what will kill us will be our lack of empathy.
April 30, 2025 at 6:46 AM
As in, all intelligent life either develops to the point that it destroys itself... or it gets advanced enough that something else marks it for destruction. That's why we haven't seen aliens yet.

The theory goes that humanity has either already passed this filter, and is the first to do so...

Not sure what to make of this kid. Maybe there's someone else I'm not thinking of. If they are Wonrei's kid, that makes them half demon, which is pretty interesting. I think Dufaux having a son would be even cooler though, just for Dufaux's character and expanding his relationship with Kiyomaro.
April 22, 2025 at 7:56 PM
I think maybe he's Wonrei and Li-en's kid..? His eyes kind of look like Wonrei's, and it just makes sense that they'd have had a kid that Kiyomaro knows and has met, but hasn't seen often enough to recognize for sure.

It's kinda weird he doesn't appear to be wearing Chinese clothing though.

I saw another person suggest it's Dufaux's son we're just meeting. He certainly has the same attitude as Dufaux, and the design is similar...ish, but it seems a bit weird he wouldn't have the same eyes as his father in that case. It's such a big part of Dufaux's design.
April 22, 2025 at 7:56 PM
I don't think I buy that though. Elly was kinda reserved, but not so much that I think she wouldn't be happy to see Kiyomaro/Gash. Plus, why would she not just be called Elly? And why would she not ask about Earth?

I'm pretty sure this is a new character. Question is, why does Kioymaro know them?
