Jacob and I probably aren't gonna be making Nintendo-related videos for a while. Today's direct was totally fine, but since I'm boycotting them anyway, eh. I don't have much to say and I'm resolved to not spend money even on Kirby Air Riders or Prime 4. Probably nothing they do will get me excited.

Finally started playing Hades and it absolutely lives up to the hype. What a game. This is everything I like wrapped into one package.

Just beat my first run and I'm already sure this will be one of my favorites ever. A genuine 10/10 so far.

I checked out on Switch 2 news after the pricing debacle. Didn't know it was releasing today until my feed was flooded with people showing theirs off.

Hope the games are good for those who bought one, but I just don't think I can support this, even with Kirby Air Riders being my dream game.

There's this theory to explain why aliens haven't made contact with humanity yet called "the great filter", if I'm remembering correctly.

The idea is that there must be *something* that prevents ultra-advanced life from developing to the point of traveling or speaking across the universe.

I watched a harrowing documentary on the physical impact of the nuclear bombs dropped in WWII. The thought of these weapons simply *existing* fills me with more existential dread than even the idea of death.

This series is a decent while after original Zatch Bell. This kid is.. maybeee young enough to have been born at the end of the series? I saw some people online suggest it's Elly, because apparently Elly had boyish dialogue in Japanese(?)

I might get those gamecube controllers if they have PC functionality though. Just spend the console generation playing Steam games... Maybe making YouTube videos about those instead.

Crazy how quick things have gone from "this is one of the greatest directs of all time" to "I literally don't want the console".

Kirby Air Riders might be the game I've been most excited for in a decade and I still want to boycott Nintendo for the nonsense going on around the Switch 2.

I did it with Pokemon. Haven't bought one of those games since Sun/Moon. I'd do it again.

Gamecube NSO is great. An affordable way to play Path of Radiance and I've been wanting to try F-Zero on GC ever since 99 got me hooked.

The console itself looks amazing. Great storage, the graphical upgrade is noticable. The VC stuff seems amazing if it works. I'm really happy with this direct.

Enter the Gungeon 2 is a sleeper hit announcement too. I loved the original. Mario Kart looks cool. Donkey Kong looks really neat.

One thing that fascinates me about social media is that I typically see people complaining about *other* people complaining, but very rarely the initial complaints themselves.

I wonder if this is just my algorithm? Or does everyone experience this?

Mario Party Jamboree is incredible. I'm blown away after like a decade of not really liking any new Mario Party games. Jacob and I just played a 30-turn game, had 0 bad minigames among them, a really awesome and competitive back and forth experience, and I loved the map gimmicks. Best one since MP6.
