So even if she post that she did “something else instead” it’s almost guaranteed the bill wouldn’t be passed for a few months at least. It’d be in deliberation well into Trump’s presidency

Maybe true for a lot of Asian and MAYBE Southeast Asian languages, but I don’t know enough to speak on those regions. Korean also has gendered pronouns but they pretty much go unused in my experience… but they have so many gender specific familial terms that it’s still a highly gendered languages.

Not that I agree with the sentiment, but Japan does have very gendered language. They have terms that generally apply to he/she in the forms of 彼 (he) and 彼女 (she), and their “neutral” terms can have an implied gender behind them, such as「ぼく」implying masculinity.
