Finally glazed the pottery shop luminary that I made months ago. It took hours but I'm really loving how it turned out. 🥰

Dreaming of spring. We had another round of snow and ice yesterday, so it might be a while yet before we see leaves. But it's coming.

In love with this mug that just came out of the kiln. It's one of my favorite things that I've ever made. 😍

The whole load was full of similar experiments and pretty much all of them came out amazingly well. More in the works like this and coming soon!

In other news, my pretties came out of the kiln and I'm so pleased with them!! Following the whimsy the other day was absolutely the thing to do. A small something to celebrate! I want to keep them all. 😍

Some have maple leaves in patterns or groupings, others have pine trees in rows, and others have sprigs of leaves. The resist designs show the white stoneware underneath and the glazes are a mix of white, purple, blues, greys, and brown/green tones.

It was a success! The handles all stayed on and nothing cracked! I'm relieved and grateful to have a small something to celebrate.

I took a chance and loaded a bisque firing with some slightly damp mugs the other day. Usually I'm more of a stickler for letting things dry completely, but....🤷🏼‍♀️ Anyways, I'm opening the kiln later today. It's either going to be great or terrible. TBD. #pottery #ceramics #potterlite

Opened the kiln this morning, and am thrilled with the test mugs I glazed. They're not identical or particularly neat, but for bringing an initial design idea to life they did the trick! #pottery
