I’ve been listening to the book Everything She Touches: The Life of Ruth Asawa. I can’t help but draw parallels from the Japanese internment camps to current events. I’m also realizing how little Americans talk about this history. Revisiting her work feels more politically relevant than ever.

None of us want unregulated AI applied to every facet of our lives, but the ruling class doesn’t care about our opinions. They’re planning on using these tools to make our daily existence slightly (or dramatically, depending on the industry) worse and we can’t say shit about it.

Democrats are so intent on completely missing the point. They know only leftist policies that materially improve working class people’s lives attract voters. But they’d rather waste time doing irrelevant weird shit and then turn around and yell at us for not voting for them.
