Foden had so many chances today, if only he could have put them on a plate for himself

The first Ashes test match is likely to finish in 2 days. Waiting for an enquiry into the pitch like they do for matches in India

Maybe Keir should demand the heads of major US news networks any time they imply Britain is on the brink of civil war or that we live under sharia law. Or does it not work both ways?

Man City

Won 6 of the last 8 PL’s.

Have the worlds best manager, most prolific striker, best DM & now best GK.

Have the 2nd most expensively assembled squad (because Chelsea 🙄).

Average fee per player is £18.5m more than Arsenal’s.

No excuses for Arsenal.

yeah. either there’s no problem with him refereeing any side, Liverpool included, because referees are above it all. or he shouldn’t ref games involving any side in competition with Liverpool. you can’t really have it both ways.

Generally, Arsenal have played well. Forced Pope into some good saves, hit the post, and I think we should 100% have had a penalty.

Two mistakes cost us a goal. Mosquera conceding a corner he shouldn't have, and Gabriel had to be stronger, even to try and make it more difficult for Woltemade.

You cannot, under any circumstances, have a referee who's declared their allegiance to a title favourite refeeing a direct opponent. Ever.

Jared Gillett. Can't referee Liverpool games because he's a fan, can be part of 66% of Arsenal's opening 6 games.

The way that penalty incident was dealt with was absolutely re-refereeing by the way. The ref has seen the incident live but they’ve asked him to watch it again 20 times and make a new decision.

There should be a high bar for politicians attacking the media, but maybe Ed Davey has half a point here?

For example, the first three paragraphs of this BBC story repeat Reform's £243bn figure without saying that the thinktank behind the estimate now disowns it. (This is mentioned in paragraph 35)

Q for the reporter: did you feel any desire or obligation to point out that all of this *is* racism? Or are you just here to observe the racism and amplify it without commenting on the fact that it is, indeed, factually racist as hell?

Press neutrality is an oxymoron. Time to show some principles.
This, from The Londoner yesterday, also features people on the march who claim not to be racists. Though the things they say prove otherwise

Yes, yes you are. Stop cosplaying "legitimate concerns". When you join a far right rally, organised by well known far right leader Tommy Robinson, with a host of speakers who outright say they are far right, you are a racist. No ifs, buts or maybes. There are no excuses for being there.
