China and Saudi Arabia are both fighting in the UN World Court in hopes the court will decline to issue an opinion on nations global obligations to curb climate change.

The pacific island of Vanuatu has brought a HUGE case before the UN international court seeking its advisory opinion on nation’s legal responsibility for climate harms. This is the largest case ever seen by the world court and has some really interesting ramifications for future national policy
