Goro fits a chair under a doorknob in a dark, dreary room. The door is already locked shut with multiple types of locks and bars. To Goro's left on the wall is a poster with a smiling face that says 'Be Happy!' There is another poster below which reads: 'Rules: 1) Wish your way to happiness. 2) If happiness is elusive, review the orientation material.' Ren tackles Goro while Goro holds a smoking gun. The Phantom Thieves in pajamas look on in horror. Ren and Goro sit on a bed in a cozy bedroom. On a nearby desk is a Jack Frost plush. Hanging on the wall are several posters: a Phantom Thieves poster, an advertisement for the Jazz Jin, and a poster of Mona looking dour with 'Hang in there Mona' written beneath him. Ren is in his pajamas and Goro is in his Metaverse costume, sans helmet and one of his gauntlets. Ren's hand covers Goro's bare hand on the bed as he looks at him with an adoring expression, and Goro smiles without looking back at him. Joker stands over Goro. Joker is holding his knife and has a look of shock on his face. Below him, Goro is mostly covered up by the broken helmet on his head, multiple wires coming out the top of it. Guest Writer Shouldbeworking Every day I say, "This is the day I shall surely read one of the many excellent fiction series recommended to me that are collecting dust on my shelf." And every day I decide to read a nonfiction book instead. I don't know what disease this is, but it's very annoying. Bsky & AO3 | shouldbeworking "Bet youcan't make that trash can from here," Ren says, pointing at a bin that is entirely too far away. "Don't be childish," Akechi murmurs. He balls up the piece of paper he was using and places it on the picnic table between them. Then, undeterred, he starts writing down something else on a new sheet of paper. "Fine." Ren pouts, leaning back in his chair and crossing his arms. Silence falls between them. Except forthe gentle whistling of the wind, the scratching of Akechi's pen. "I dare you," Ren says. Akechi finally looks up at him. He stares at Ren like he's the scum of the earth. And then he turns around and whips his crumpled paper ball way too hard at that trash can, missing it completely and smacking a poor, innocent woman square in the face instead. And so, it begins.
