This is one of my favorite Dean Cornwell paintings. It's a masterclass in composition, storytelling and 1st, 2nd and 3rd reads, but also it has an incredible sense of dark humor (THE BUTTS) which Dean Cornwell didn't often get to showcase.

I really thought I’d get a lot of art done this break but the furthest I got was a bunch of attempts to draw a sheith piece that’s been haunting me while in bed (my break was instead taken up with an insane social life, and being possessed with drumming demons after blasting past a skill plateau)
