The Yoshi Egg in Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door has magenta, cyan and yellow spots, and hatches into a number of differently colored Yoshis. While obvious to some, it merits mention that this appears to be a reference to the CMY color model, the basis for printer ink.
The Yoshi Egg in Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door has three visible spots in the following colors: cyan, magenta and yellow. It can hatch into a number of differently-colored Yoshis. The subtractive color model, or CMY model, shows that by combining cyan, magenta and yellow pigments on a white background, it is possible to achieve any color via their overlaps. This is the basis of the CMYK model used for printer ink, which adds a separate black ink for practical purposes.
