Happy new year! Violently strong red aurora where i live, visible to the naked eye even in my light-polluted town. With the sounds of people yelling through their new-year traditional sport and the red, red sky, it was pretty eerie.

Beautiful high tide after last night's big moon. And beautiful day to enjoy it, too.

This little monkey is feeling poorly and sorry for himself today and taking full advantage of breakfast in (my) bed, because downstairs is too far for him. Gotta enjoy the inevitable vet-watch

Took the decorations down today. Gonna have to wait a week for someone to put the tree up the loft. This is fine and not jump-scare inducing at all. Its fine. Fine fine fine fine fine...

In hindsight, nothing about either the sender of this old (promotional) email, or the date it was sent is in any way reassuring...

But damn, was it accurate.

Made it home and was met by a huge group of selkies just chilling on a quiet tuesday morning. Many more than this pic, bur grey blobs on grey blob rocks aren't _that_ easy to snap while dodging traffic

It's Talk Like a Pirate Day, so I'm shouting about the very queer pirates I wrote!

In a world ravaged by magic, a young sea captain hunts for a priceless treasure. But those offering to help have devastating plans for him. War looms.

Went to see the Sun exhibition today for the local Science Festival.

6m diameter sun, suspended inside a 900 year old cathedral.

As is a right and proper offering to the internet when embarking into new places, I offer this as a first post; a rare image of my cat looking particularly well lit and photogenic.
