Brian Milner has as many Topps (or O-Pee-Chee) cards as Major League Games.

He was on "Blue Jays Future Stars" cards in 1981 and 1982, and played in 2 games in June of 1978

I scoured lists of animals native to Florida and decided to go with Miami Flamingos. I was originally going to give the 'F' a flamingo beak, but wasn't satisfied at several attempts.

I wanted a traditional "Sox" name but found the original "Sun Sox" and "Super Sox" kinda lame.

I came up with the Orlando Orange Sox instead. Is it better? Not really, but I don't care.

The Bradenton Explorers moved to Daytona Beach for the 2nd season. I moved them back to Bradenton

The St. Petersburg Pelicans were the champions in the first season and had the best record when the league folded during the 2nd season

2026 WBC custom prototype #4 - 1987 Fleer basketball design.

Needs a bit of work and I'm not sure how strong a candidate this is for the WBC, but I expect I'll use it for *something*.

2026 WBC custom prototype #3 - 1970-71 A&BC English Footballers (Just stumbled across this custom I made before the 2023 WBC... I went with another design that time)

It was good enough for A&BC Gum in 1969 🙂

Have a little downtime and idly pondering what card design I might use if I create customs for the 2026 World Baseball Classic. First up is the 1968 Topps Football design

I guess it shows that I bought a lot more UD Collector's Choice in 1996 than I did Topps

I don't recognize the packaging for 2025 Topps Archives. Is this an original design, or just riffing on some past Topps set that I'm not aware of?

I've always liked this card 😂😂😂

You're right, I'm a little out of date. They used to futz around with some of the colors (usually the trim) but they don't seem to be doing that now.

If you see this, post an album cover with a motor vehicle on it.

Name an album you like from a band/artist you normally don't like.

I'll start with two: "Genesis" by Genesis and "After Dark" by The Grateful Dead

Here's the list of "unique to 1992 O-Pee-Chee" cards... For anyone not familiar with the Gary Carter Tribute subset, I wrote about it many years ago: shlabotnikreport.wordpress.com/2012/02/20/m...

Also has a fun chase element in the Topps Gold "Not a parallel because they're replacing the base set checklists" cards

Looking to put the game out of reach, the Giants manager sent Tito Fuentes up to pinch hit. The manager (*ahem*) looked like a genius when Fuentes hit a grand slam.

Fuentes had just one homer in the regular season.

Game 7 starters: Gaylord Perry & Fergie Jenkins

Bill Hands and Juan Marichal kept allowing runners to reach base but none of them scored for 9 innings.

Billy Williams lead off the bottom of the 10th with a home run to give the Cubs a 3-2 series lead.

They're customs, but they still fit the theme

They could've gone with something like "North Stars green" and all would've been fine in the world
