The first thing I see this morning is police officers brutally clashing with feminist protesters. Second thing I see are cuts to social security measures. Third thing I see are disgusting, hateful comments in fandom spaces. Life feels joyless.

This is the perfect pace for these characters. A lot of writers only look to check off tropes, instead of making their characters progress in a natural way.
