Impressive seeing people still making up theories that involve "what if that thing they said wasn't true is actually right!" and I think some people don't actually like to watch stories

I used to be mad FF is not the series it used to be but there's literally series that are what FF used to be like Bravely and Octopath coming *directly* from SE. But yeah no hyperrealistic graphics so I guess it's cheap anime slop.

Close, you get an A. But the key difference is that Persona 5 is for people who like anime but hate RPGs, while E33 is for people who hate anime, but like RPGs.
The irony is that if they could get past their preconceptions, they'd realize they all like anime RPGs

All it really did was have broad general appeal and that's all that really matters for people who refuse to engage with a game if it looks too "anime" or too "cheap" for using sprites while also jingling keys at people who can't stand the thought of not pressing buttons for more than a second
