there was this specific episode of Batman TAS that introduced Bane and I *really* liked it and could not stop thinking about it after. rewatched it as an adult in college and went "oh, yeah, that checks out"

That whole book is really really good. I've never seen an author who gets the fundamental core character of Dick Grayson more perfectly.
