Have we changed what a QALY means? Because I didn't think it had anything to do with what an alternative healthcare might cost and gain (although you can compare). I thought this was about the value that a person added to the economy when well? (Or rather the cost when unwell)

Perhaps better considered with a three phase model.

Animals spend 85% of the day in Soothing, 5% in fight and 10% in drive.

It is very difficult to be compassionate when not in the soothing system

26%pt lower rises in QTc (>30msec shift) with the lower dose.

But S3 eTable 3 reports for R-600mg 3.2% of patients had QTc > 480msec 𝒄𝒇 0.5% in R-400mg group.

Yet eTable 2 reports CTC QT interval prolongation as: 0.5 𝒗𝒔 1.6% for R-400 𝒗𝒔 R-600.

Why do we even need rules.

I can't see that you'd have any issue with this code snippet:

Interesting article suggesting we turn all of what we are taught in academia about how to write stuff on its head...

I think this is exactly the sort of thing @mikemorrison.bsky.social et al have been saying with posters. While there is "logic" to how we learn to do it, if your audience hasn't...

I've come to symptom control session, running at same time as proffered papers session at #esmogi25. I'm hoping someone will skeet if something dramatic happens at that session!

I'm wondering what message @myesmo.bsky.social were sending running symptom control alongside a proffered papers session

Wondering why I ask? Well has anyone ever seen a HR 0.17 for an adjuvant cancer Tx before?

Tumour specific cancer vaccine in adjuvant pancreatic cancer

Very valid point being made that with ADCs are given till progression, whereas Mab + Chemo is usually induction then maintenance Mab.

Toxicity of prolonged Tx with ADC is challenging. And we need a strategy to escalate / de-esecalate / holidays

And CAR-T might be coming to Gastric Ca.

2 weeks hospital stay for every CAR-T infusion. Multiple infusions are needed to get penetration in the tumour.

#OncoPharm - do you have inpatient capabilities to support these patients given CAR-T has been the blood cancer guys toy until now?

Reflex test all Gastric Patients at diagnosis. Live with the fact you are testing some non-metastatic patients to get faster results for the metastatic ones.

And test everything at once not sequentially.

Patients were less bothered by treatment related side effects on Nivo-Ipi than with lenvatinib/sorafenib in HCC

Interesting. Nivo-Ipi seems better on some QoL metrics compared to Nivo alone in mCRC.

Dr Chan telling us we should be more excited about TIGIT IO than LAG3 in HCC.

Now I know science is about facts... But I like the name TIGIT so I'm hoping it wins.

Vaccines also not effective in big metastatic disease. But it might be useful in the prevention / adjuvant / minimal residual disease context...

Especially as the immune system round PDAC is an immune desert!

It's not that there are no T Cells. It's the T cells are disfunctional. There was re too many myeloid cells...
July 2, 2025 at 11:35 AM
I guess we don't need to be thinking IO is the way forward in PDAC...
