More niche titles like Earthion have come out this year with gorgeous graphics pushing 16 bit consoles to their limits, including an amazing soundtrack composed by Yuzo Koshiro. It is also an amazing game

There are 7 slots on the top bar that can be fitted to have either health extentions or new weapon slots. In the main part of the game screen there is a fight going on in the clouds on what is perhaps a sunset from high up in the atmosphere. Clouds fill the background, the clouds on top and bottom are dark blue but turn brighter closer to the middle. In the middle the clouds look pink and white with hints of red. The player ship is small and to the left with 2 options firing missiles. To the right there is a large enemy ship with two big wings
