My fishing experience in KY has been limited to the Barren River, but I had a great day out there and pulled up some healthy Large Mouths. I'll have to explore some more in the spring!

I used to live in Florida, so I've encountered this, and most of the time they don't really want anything to do with you, but if you can help it, keep your fish from splashing/ struggling at the surface, a hungry or aggressive gator may try and come after it if it has the opportunity.
